County Introduces New Hired Equipment Policy

Saddle Hills County has altered its Hired Equipment Policy and will be holding a Pre-Season Open House and BBQ on March 15, 2019 to go over the details and discuss the 2019 work program with contractors.

Starting this year, registered contractors will no longer be required to bid each year on County work. Instead, Council will set the gravel haul rate and loading factor.

Also starting in 2019, equipment hired by the hour will be compensated according to Alberta Road Builders and Heavy Equipment Association rates.

All interested contractors are invited to attend the Open House and BBQ on starting at 11:00 am, March 15, 2019, at the Saddle Hills County Public Works building.
